Stuart Ramsden – Country Director: Stuart first joined Atradius in 1991 as a commercial underwriter at the company’s UK head office in his home city of Cardiff. During his time at Atradius Cardiff Stuart’s responsibilities included a number of commercial roles, focusing mainly on product development and also sales; becoming Head of Sales in the years prior to his move to Ireland. Stuart became Country Director for Atradius Ireland in 2005.
Our History
As part of a global company we are proud to boast that we have been supporting businesses in Ireland for a very long time and our history stretches over many decades.
Originally based in Belfast in the North as ECGD, which was later acquired in 1991 by the Dutch credit insurer NCM. We opened our doors in Dublin in 2001 following the merger of NCM with the German insurance group Gerling and after a period trading as Gerling NCM, in January 2004 the name Atradius was launched. As Atradius we have continued to strengthen our presence in Ireland to bring new and creative solutions to the market.
